Lila is a one year old hound mix who was brought into Goose Creek Vet Clinic after being hit by a car. She had a laceration on one leg, and the other leg was broken above the knee. Her owners were faced with a choice; $1400 for surgery, or euthanasia.

The clinic reached out to CARE for a 3rd option. Lila has been surrendered by her owners to CARE and had the surgery to repair her leg. She will stay at the clinic until she is toe touching on that leg, and then she will go to foster care until her forever home is found.

CARE took responsibility for Lila on faith that the community will pull together and raise the funds needed to cover the medical expenses. The surgery couldn't wait until the funds were raised, or Lila would lose her leg. Now, we have to deliver on the promise to pay her medical expenses, and we need the community's help to do that.

Please donate for Lila. She is in the prime of her life and has many years ahead of her. We never want to see a young dog die for no reason other than the lack of money. LET'S SHOW THIS VET SHE MADE THE RIGHT CALL & WE SUPPORT HER EFFORTS TOGETHER! Every bit adds up.
