Fawkes was neglected in his previous home. He was terrified and a matted mess. He deserves better!
Fawkes is cute, but make no mistake - he can bite hard when stressed. He suffers from SMALL DOG SYNDROME --> EXPERIENCED ADOPTER REQUIRED.
Fawkes takes a little time to know he's safe, what the routine is, and needs positive rewards for making good choices. This may be a lifelong behavior that must be managed to keep him and others safe.
Working with a professional trainer would be ideal for an adopter. Fawkes showed some food aggression at first, but his foster mom has been working on that with him. He is loving and cuddly with her (house consists of adult female human, 90 lb. male Pit, 10 lb. female Chihuahua).

A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
